Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, born in Mexico, was born to the music-loving parents of her family. As a child, she was exposed to a lot of classical music as well as the old Boleros. In addition, she was a fan of traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana loves tangos as well as opera and various dramatic styles. Her mother taught her how to sing, but she began singing under Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when the singer was famous as a Mexican opera tenor. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico kept her in the music field. While a young student and professional, she performed with many chamber groups and opera choruses in Guadalajara and Mexico City. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo of traditional Latin American music at private occasions. She's involved in numerous local organizations, both as an instructor and performer because of her love for the arts and music. Ana was also previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana hopes, through her sharing music from Latin American traditional songs, to instill a passion, particularly among younger people, for keeping this music alive.
